Robert Williams, Founder (Semi-Retired)

Robert L. Williams is a retired Lt. Colonel in the United States Army. In addition, Mr. Williams founded AC&S Materials Testing back in 2005 to meet the quality control materials testing needs of Northern California all the way to the Oregon border.  Mr. Robert Williams has retired but continues to support ACS Materials Testing.  This includes working on key projects and sharing his extensive technical knowledge.  Robert has over 33 years’ experience in the materials testing and inspecting industry including:

 

US Army, Engineer Branch since 1981 managing various engineering missions encompassing Civilian projects including: Rails to Trails in Susanville, California, Road improvements for recreation on Whales-back near Mt. Shasta, California, Road and habitat improvement for the Humboldt National Wildlife Area, Eureka, California.

 

Mr. Robert Williams, serving in the Army, was deployed on four (4) “Nation Building Missions” in Honduras and Panama for construction of Roads and Schools utilizing the Army Corps of Engineers design requirements along with AASHTO, ASTM, and ACI construction Standards. Mr. Williams has also performed as a USACE certified Quality Control Manager, laboratory manager, laboratory tester, and field testing on various FHWA and Caltrans road projects including: I-5 at Artois, HWY 395 in Susanville, I-5 from Corning to Williams, HWY 199 from Crescent City to the Oregon Boarder, and I-80 near Colfax. Mr. Williams” FHWA project experience includes: Forest Hill Overlay, Wentworth Springs, HWY 20 overlay, I-70 emergency repairs, Quincy La Porte overlay (2 years), and Mad River Road (2 years).

 

Robert Williams FAA experience includes: Mott Field in Dunsmuir, Red Bluff Airport, Redding Airport, SFO International Airport, and Chester Airport. Mr. Williams continues to be a valuable asset to the company and is considered a leader in the area of materials testing services.
